The ongoing national struggle with the American Library Association (ALA) regarding unfiltered porn access at libraries paid for by we the people. Read the article.
In the article, speaking about filtering programs, City Librarian Laura Mitchell said: "Other programs block "key words," but many library officials nationwide object to them because they also block access to informational Web sites on various topics, such as breast cancer."

Hmmm, I was going to post a link the the ALA website's "Internet Filtering in Public Libraries" page but their original position paper on internet filtering is gone. It was there this weekend but tonight it is gone. What is up with that? The point is that Ms. Mitchell's carefully thought out explanation was almost an exact quote of the ALA's position paper. The statement about breast cancer is flat out incorrect.
