Project Honey Pot - Turns the Tables on Spammers
Antispam activists vowed to get tough with spammers at the third annual Spam Conference held in January at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Among the antispam measures discussed at the conference was Project Honey Pot created by Unspam, LLC. Project Honey Pot is designed to identify spammers and the spambots they use to harvest email addresses from web sites. The information collected is shared with law enforcement authorities and then used to track down and prosecute the spammers.
