Off subject but pertinent -- Terri Schiavo

This post may seem at first glance to be a bit off our usual subject line but there is a logical connection. I have posted a link to a web site: BlogsforTerri. The site is dedicated to the dissemination of facts about Terri Schiavo. Terri is the unfortunate young woman who suffered brain damage in 1990 and is now being fed and hydrated through a feeding tube. Contrary to what you may have heard, Terri is not a vegetable, she is not in a coma, she responds to people around her and has even expressed herself with words such as "mommy" and "help me".

There is a huge ongoing legal battle regarding the court ordered removal of Terri's feeding tube which would condemn her to death by starvation and dehydration, which would land you or me in jail if we were to do the same thing to a rattle snake. All that Terri's family is asking is that she be allowed to go home with them so they can take care of her themselves. Lend them your support.

Oh yes, what is the logical connection between our usual subject matter and this post? Simple, it is the story of good parents trying to protect their child from the dark forces which would do the child harm.
